About Me

Hey there!
Born and raised in Atlanta (except a couple of years in UK as a kid). I graduated from Georgia Tech in 2018 with a degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering, with a focus on Quality and Statistics.
After college, I started as a consultant at Manhattan Associates before joining AnswerRocket in 2020, where I started as Software Consultant and am now a Senior Software Consultant where I help companies implement AI insight solutions.
Outside of work, I like to spend my time with my family, in my home gym training for powerlifting competitions, or tinkering with my Miata.
The Powerlifting Journey
I've been lifting seriously since 2020, but only got into competitive powerlifting in 2023. I currently hold the USPA Georgia state squat record for the 82.5kg class (241kg) and was the 2023 USPA Tested State Champion. I compete in both the USAPL and USPA feds. USAPL has more fun meets, but USPA uses the fun bars.
My favorite aspect of competing is the people at the meets. Every competition I've been to has been full of incredibly supportive and wonderful people who genuinely want to see everyone succeed. Training alone in my home gym without a coach has taught me a lot about discipline and self-motivation.
My Car Story
My first car was a 2004 Saturn Vue, but I didn't really get into cars until I got my 2012 GTI. I've always driven manual transmissions, which naturally led me toward sportier cars. That GTI was my introduction to modifying. My first mod was a simple cold air intake in 2014, but eventually I installed a full exhaust, performance clutch, front mount intercooler, and stage 2 tune (among some other things) resulting in about 275hp/320ft-lbs.
After getting married and landing my first real job, I made the next "logical" step and bought a 2017 Golf R. I ended up pushing it to around 400hp/430ft-lbs with an intake, downpipe, heavy performance clutch (660ft-lbs), some other clutch and shifter work, and another stage 2 tune. After my daughter was born, I sold my car so my wife and I could get a practical Volvo.
About a year later, I picked up a 2020 Miata Club with the BBR package (BBS wheels, Brembo brakes, and Recaro seats). I've kept the modifications a bit more simple with just an axleback exhaust, struct tower brace, and rear diffuser.
Photography & Life
I'm very much an amateur photographer who mostly shoots with my iPhone and edits in Lightroom. Most of my photos have been car-related over the years, but these days I find myself taking way more pictures of my daughter and my dog than anything else.
